A small percentage, blended well into the formula, will bond your pigments together, improve the texture, and fix the streaks and bald spots when applied.

Silica is soft to the touch, white in appearance, but almost invisible on the skin. It is a marvelous filler, used in concentrations of 5-15%. It will assist in binding and blending minerals to each other, as well as adding softness and slip to your finished product. Because it is a spherical pigment, it helps to hide imperfections when used in foundation formulas. Silica has mattifying properties and is ideal for use in television and film as a setting powder to reduce shine.
