This rich, dense natural black iron oxide is purified of naturally occurring heavy metals, and ready to blend with other oxides, and natural fillers, such as our silky sericite mica, opaque, high quality Ti02 (titanium dioxide), and responsibly sourced natural mica pigments.

Black iron oxide is used to create rich matte eyeshadows, to deepen jewel-toned mica-based eyeshadows and to provide more substance and longer wear. It is also used in cinnamon to chocolate shades of foundation.  our pure and simple iron oxides are not coated, so they need to be blended for a minimum of 20 minutes to two hours. Pre-blending with sericite mica before adding to formulas is advisable to ensure greater consistency in your blends.
