This class provides an intensive look at mineral pigments, their uses, textures, pros and cons. Formulas are crafted on site while participants follow along, and craft actual products at home using natural pigments.
Back by popular demand, this class offers an intensive two hour examination and practice of the basic families of mica based mineral pigments, and how to use them to craft natural mineral eyeshadows. The mineral makeup pigments do not contain carmine, dye, talc, or bismuth oxychloride. Participants can order supplies from the Monave store, or can use supplies at home if already available.
The class delves into several areas related to crafting, including blending equipment, choosing natural pigments, the properties of natural pigments, how to create a variety of textures, how to create a palette that includes pastels, earth tones, rich jewel toned shades, and textures ranging from sparkly to semi-matte.
You will be able to chat live with the teacher to ask questions throughout the 2 hour session. Prior to the class, you’ll be sent a class outline, formulas, and directions, as well as the URL. You will need 4G service. A hot-spot or 3G service is not enough to accomodate live, streaming video.
