Our response to the Coronavirus

At Monave, well-being is at the forefront of everything that we do. We demand transparency from our ingredient suppliers, we protect our makeup supplies from contamination, and we protect our products from the influence of any and all substances which could impact our customers’ wellness.

Our sick policy, in place since the founding of the company,  is that if a staffer exhibits any symptoms of any contagious illness, she (or he) must stay home. This is a mandatory policy, that is modeled after the policies of schools. Any illness over two days requires a visit to a medical professional for evaluation and possible treatment. This policy remains in effect, and any potential sequestration would be determined by an attending medical professional.  To date, there are no reported cases of the virus in Baltimore, where our staffers reside.

You are probably wondering how it helps to apply this policy to COVID19, since the incubation period is much longer. We have stepped up our use of gloves from being used during product crafting, to being used throughout the day for any work matters, whether it be packing orders, printing invoices, or stocking finished products on the shelf. This virtually eliminates any possibility of contamination via touch.

As we’re all aware, our most affected members of society are seniors, and those with immune issues, or other health issues such as heart disease, diabetes, or asthma. We all need to do our very best not to bring this virus anywhere near our vulnerable populations, as each country assesses the best way to thwart the spread of COVID19.
